Saseenos Veterinary Services was founded on July 4, 1989 by Dr. Amanda Booth. The goal was to provide Sooke and its surrounding community with state-of-the-art medical care for the animals while also upholding a sense of compassion for both the pets and their owners. Stellar customer service has always been our goal. From humble beginnings in a small cottage on the existing property, a modern, full-service hospital was built in 1995. It is a purpose-built facility with the inclusion of many features, such as separate ventilation systems, to allow ideal surgical suite sterility. The fire and soundproofing of the kennel areas with concreted filled block walls and examination rooms with windows to entertain the patients and decrease stress are some of these features. In 2022, we completed an addition to our facility that added ~800sf of space, allowing us to add two more exam rooms as well as a new, larger, brighter reception area with live edge wood accents. The new space is a warm and inviting place to greet and serve our clients and patients. We have always focused on extensive continuing education for all of our staff members so that all team members have the most current knowledge available, not only on medical matters but also on approaching nervous and apprehensive patients in a non-threatening way.
