Preparing For Surgery Day:

How to Prepare for Your Pet’s Procedure:

  • Fasting Instructions: Surgery patients need to be fasted. No food after 9 pm the night before. Water is okay and can be offered up until you bring your pet to the clinic.
  • Medication Guidance: If your pet is on any regular medications, please inquire ahead of time whether you should give them the day before and the morning of surgery.
  • Bring Post-Surgery Care Items: If you have an E-collar or any device or clothing to help prevent your pet from licking their surgical site, please bring it with you the day of surgery.
  • Drop-Off Instructions: Drop-off is typically between 8:45 am and 9 am at the clinic side door. The technician will bring you and your pet into an exam room and go over the estimate and admit form.

What to Expect at Drop-Off

When you arrive, our team will bring you and your pet into an exam room to go over the surgery plan, provide any additional instructions, and address your questions or concerns. This in-person discussion ensures you are fully informed about the procedure and aftercare.
